About

I'm Jennifer Farrell, an Educational and Developmental Psychologist with over 25 years of experience working with children, families and schools. I specialise in emotional regulation, learning differences, and school difficulties for children aged 5–21.I'm also the parent of a neurodivergent child which means I understand life from the inside as well as the professional side. My practice is built around one belief: that every child deserves to be seen, not just managed.I see clients from my purpose-built psychology home studio.
Therapy Sessions

Ongoing support for your child's wellbeing
Not every family needs a full assessment to start with. Sometimes what's needed is ongoing, practical support as your child learns to understand and manage what they're feeling.I offer a small therapy caseload alongside my assessment work, supporting children who are navigating big emotions, anxiety, attention difficulties, or the everyday challenges of being a neurodivergent kid in a world not always built for them.
Main supports offered:
Emotional Awareness & Regulation - Helping children build awareness and tools for big feelings using non-judgemental, body-aligned language.
ADHD-affirming support - Building on your child's natural strengths while developing tools for focus, motivation and follow-through.
Anxiety support - Practical, age-appropriate strategies for when life is too much.
Executive functioning skills - Real-world strategies for planning, organisation, time management, and managing everyday tasks and transitions.
School-related stress - Support for children finding school overwhelming, including transitions, friendships and performance pressure.
Parent Check-in sessions - Sometimes your child doesn't need ongoing therapy -you just need an hour to talk through what's going on with your child and walk away with practical strategies you can start using at home. I offer one-off and occasional parent coaching sessions for exactly this. No long-term commitment, no waiting on lists for a therapy spot — just focused, practical support when you need it.
Assesment Services

An assessment can be a turning point, not to label your child, but to understand what's hapenning for them.
My Approach:
"Assessments are designed to build understanding not simply to identify difficulties. The goal is to help children, families and schools better understand how a child learns, engages and thrives. Every child deserves to be genuinely seen and understood, not just managed."
